Among the many aspects of the newDebt Ceiling Deal introduced by Congress on Tuesday, it will scrap subsidized student loans forcing graduate students to pay interest on the principle balance of their loans while enrolled in school.
Personally, I can’t afford it. No matter how I spin it, my financial situation isn’t flexible enough to adhere to Congress’s requirement. Upon the realization that my plight for higher education may be stifled because of irresponsible spending by negligent political leaders I took my grievance to Facebook. The responses surprised me, but they shouldn’t have – the answer is as old as time.
While giving blood in the 1950s may have been lucrative enough to help my Nana pay for school today sex work seems to be a feasible option for some students. Reia Chapman, an MSW student at Savannah State University in Georgia said that she supports student’s decisions to engage in sex work to pay for higher education. I didn’t know this was part of the debt deal and I am infuriated. I am sick and tired of these repeated obstacles being thrown in my (and other lower-income people’s) way because the rich refuses to have their peers pay their fair share when they created this shitty economy in the first place.
If Tufts University wasn’t such a piece of shit I would have graduated law school this year. Except now I am struggling to find ways to go to school for free and it’s literally going to take me at least 10 years to get my bachelor’s…I’ve always wanted to go to grad school and it seems like the loans from the school that refused to help a rape victim and let me finish my degree will make law school impossible for me.
Honestly? This is unacceptable. How does one political party that isn’t even technically “in control” since they don’t have a Congressional majority or the Presidential seat STILL get everything they want? I will have to stop thinking from this before I start really crying from the frustration over continuous barriers being thrown to education.

I was watching this and hoping that they would not say anything that upset me, but I ended up being offended anyway. In the video, the person talks about how you should get ‘physical’ with a girl, makes a gesture suggesting you hit her, then plays it off like a joke. Of course, what he really means by physical is that you should walk up to girls while they are intoxicated in clubs and kiss them without their persmission, also touch them, hug them, and make them feel like you are a ‘boss’ by being dominating. He says all of this as a tip to men trying to get out of ‘the friend zone’ with women.
I wasn’t able to watch the whole video because it pissed me off so much, but wanted to share because this is exactly the opposite of what men should be told about how to approach women.
I would love if the lovely women and men of this tumblr could dislike bomb this video and make sure the poster knows that making women know you are ‘the boss’ is not a way to get out of ‘the friend zone.’
